Visiting with Children of Any Age

Information for new families with children, infants through high school

We want kids to love coming to church and learning about the Bible, God, and Jesus each week. Your children’s safety is very important to us. Because of that, we have a check-in process for our children and student programs. You’ll want to leave yourself a little extra time to get signed in, especially the first time.

Nursery care and children's activities (infant to grade 5) are offered at each service.

Student (grades 6-12 ) programming is available at the 7pm Thursday service and the 10am Sunday service. Students also have youth group Sunday evenings during the school year.

Preschoolers through high schoolers have many other events and activities year-round.

Procedures

Visiting with infant through 5th graders

Here's what to expect when visiting FCCM's Kidz Connextion.

If you have a child who is in preschool through 5th grade, it is easiest to enter the building through the Gym/Family Life Center doors. These doors lead right into the Kidz Check-in area. There we will meet your family and check your infant through 5th grade child into our system. You will receive a security label to be used when you pick up your child(ren).

If you have a child going to the nursery, you can head around the corner past the restrooms and down the hallway to drop him/her off at the nursery on your way to the worship center. Please be sure the little one has been changed first. There are changing stations in both the men's and the women's restrooms near the nursery.

At the end of your worship time, you make may up your little from the nursery or head back to the gym area to pick up your preschooler through 5th grader. Be sure to have your security label.

In the event we need to reach you while your child is in our care, we will text the phone number you gave us or come get you.

Please know that upon checking in for the first time, we will need the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone outside of our church.):

  • Parent/Guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Child's grade and school (if applicable)
  • Home address
  • Parent/Guardian's phone number(s)
  • Parent/Guardian's email address
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

We may ask you to fill out a card with your family's information.

The safety of your children is of utmost importance to us. Our check-in system and procedures were designed with their safety in mind. Because of this, please allot a few extra minutes, especially the first visit when we are collecting your information. Please be sure to hang onto your child's security tag. We only allow a parent or guardian to pick up the child.

Visiting with 6th through 12th graders

Here's what to expect when visiting FCCM's Rise Student Ministry.

Our student (grades 6-12 ) programming is available at the 7pm Thursday service and the 10am Sunday service. Students also have youth group Sunday evenings during the school year.

The Rise Student ministry is held in a building separate from the church which we call the Porter House. It is the brick home at the end of our parking lot in front of the church. The physical address is 924 East Porter Street. Students often walk over from the church, going out the west end of the building near the offices and following the yellow painted walk along the edge of the parking lot to enter at the back door of the Porter House. Sometimes, parents drop their students off at the Porter House before coming to church by pulling in the Porter House's driveway. Students will return to the church when finished or parents can pick them up at Porter House.

Students in grades 6 through 12 will check themselves in at one of the kiosks in the Porter House.

We will need the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone outside of our church):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Student's name
  • Student's birthdate
  • Student's grade and school
  • Home address
  • Parent/Guardian's phone number(s)
  • Parent/Guardian's email address
  • Student's Phone number
  • Student's email address
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your student
