GriefShare Support Group
GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You will gain valuable resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life. The group will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm in Room 28, beginning February 26. (Our Wednesday evening children's activities are taking place during this time if you want to bring your preschool through 12th grade children.) The class is a 13–week series. Each session is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any session. “Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you are shivering.”
Living with Alzheimer's: a Workshop for Caregivers
Saturday, February 29 @ 10am in the church Fellowship Hall
There is no cost, but please register by calling the Alzheimer's Association at 1-800-272-3900 or by signing up at fccmonline.org/signups
When someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's, friends and family have many questions. What does the diagnosis mean? What kinds of plans need to be made? What resources are available to help? Hear from those directly affected and learn what you need to know, what you need to plan and what you can do at each point along the way. This program is designed to provide care partners with the knowledge, tools and strategies needed to cope with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.
