The Kingdom Project

How we are building the Kingdom!

The Kingdom Project

First Christian Church of Malvern (FCCM) first started as the Church of Christ of Malvern in 1870. The church was first built on Porter Street about 1873. Over many years, the church saw growth continually and added on to the building in various ways. The time came in the early 1980s where the building had no more room to grow, and pews were packed each week. A large parcel of land was purchased in 1983, and our current building was built in 1985. The leaders at the time dreamed big and planned a building so large that surely we'd never out grow it!

However, almost 40 years later, the time has come to create a larger worship center and more adult education rooms. On March 8, 2020, the church leaders announced the plans for adding on a large worship center to our building and the current worship center would then become much needed space for the growing children's department. Just days later, COVID-19 pandemic tried to shut us down, but we went online and continued teaching the word of God. As we started back to in-person services, some who had found us on-line during the shutdown came to worship in person, and we continue to grow.

In the fall of 2021, we announced that God is still leading us to build a larger worship center. However, it is unrealistic of us to have such a huge monthly mortgage payment, so we started a capital campaign project entitled THE KINGDOM PROJECT to raise funds. We asked people to fast and pray about the amounts they could give over the next two years toward The Kingdom Project--above their regular tithing. It feels impossible to raise the funds needed, but we know our God is the God of the Impossible!

WITH God NOTHING is impossible! Join us on this exciting adventure and watch God move in this area! If you want to give to the building of our new worship center, visit fccmonline.org/give
