03.09.2023 Pantry Needs
OUR FOOD PANTRY
For those who are able to shop a little extra, please consider dropping off items to help others in our community. In addition to helping those who call the church office needing food, during the school year, we also pack about 160 weekend bags for children facing food insecurity. (For the weekend bags, we pack 2 breakfast items, 2 snack items, and 2 lunch items per student every week! THAT'S 960 ITEMS PER WEEK!!! In addition to people calling for emergency food needs! See the church's bulletin board for a list you can use to shop all year long.) You have already helped so many local families with your generous donations of food items since we first opened our pantry! A shopping cart is available at the church, if one is needed to unload items.
NOTE: In the past, we have been unable to keep fresh produce, bread, or milk on hand. At this time, however, since we have room in our freezer, we are able to accept donations of frozen meats that are in 1-3 lb. packages, particularly ground beef, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, chicken nuggets, and pork chops.
>>>Please do not bring anything dented, opened, partially used, expired, or very close to expiring<<<
Thank you so much for continuing to support our food pantry. So many families in our area have been blessed because of YOUR donations!
