Visiting with Children of Any Age

Information for new families with children, infants through high school

First visit with children, infant through 5th grade

Here's what to expect when visiting FCCM's Kidz Connextion for the first time.

First, enter the building on the east end near our gym. This is our Family Life Center. There we will meet your family, check your preschool through 5th grade child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room, and you make make your way to worship in the sanctuary at the other end of the building.

If you also have an infant to three year old with you, you can check that child in at the nursery (which will be on your way to the sanctuary if you have entered at the Family Life Center) or take him/her with you to worship.

Please know that upon checking in for the first time, we will need the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone outside of our church.):

  • Parent/Guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Child's grade and school (if applicable)
  • Home address
  • Parent/Guardian phone number(s)
  • Parent/Guardian email address
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

The safety of your children is of utmost importance to us. Our check-in system and procedures were designed with their safety in mind. Because of this, please allot a few extra minutes, especially the first visit when we are collecting your information.

Return visit with children, infant through 5th grade

First off, we are so happy you've chosen to return! We hope you and your family are excited to be with us again!

Before you go to worship service: You can check-in your child at any available kiosk in the Family Life Center. After entering your phone number to find your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag. Your child will then be lead to their classroom, and you may make your way to the other end of the building for your time of worship.

After service: After the service is complete, you will return to the Family Life Center and will need to show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen. We ask that you exit the sanctuary immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer in the Family Life Center who will direct you to your child’s room.

Return visit with 6th through 12th graders

We're excited at your return!

Older children will be able to check themselves in to our system. They may go to any kiosk in the Family Life Center (or Nursery area) and check in to Rise, the name of our student ministry. They may also check in at Rise Sunday School, which is held at 10:00 a.m. in the Parsonage. The Parsonage is the brick home at the end of our parking lot. Students often walk over from the church, going out the west end of the building near the offices and following the yellow painted walk along the edge of the parking lot. They will return to the church when Sunday School is over, which is approximately 11:00 a.m.
